  1. Joanne Fraser

The modules are well organised and explain the ethical principles in clear and easily understood language. The videos clarify there are grey areas of what is ethical/ may not be ethical. I liked the use of real examples that demonstrated the ethical issues in real life. The case studies and being able to interact with these assisted my learning and helped with the assessments at the end of each module.

  2. Lorna Francis

Excellent course. Examples really help to distinguish the right path

  17. Graeme Sheard

I thought the case studies were sometimes good but the test questions at the end of each module should have been case study based to challenge the learner to really look at grey areas and understand where Ethics fits into the conduct of an accountant.

  18. Allan Kelly

Outlined issues, grey areas and solution/obligations in a simple but clear manner with good examples supporting each

  19. Beverley Lord

I liked the everyday examples and the guidance which pointed out the complexities of the scenarios. I found the quizzes at the end of each unit annoying, because I didn’t always agree with the “right” answer or qualified my answer

  20. Andrew Bremner

Clear and interestingly presented. Videos and case studies provide good examples. In most parts clearly written. Some of the questions are not clear, or confusing – and written in a double negative manner.

The “gray areas” were identified in all aspects of ethical and professional behavior. Self interest must be utmost in your mind. Always ask if I am making this decision to keep my job and salary or is it the one that maintains the profession and the highest ethical standards.

If we do not have professional ethics in our work, it’s time for us to quit the profession.
