This is a reasonably new area, very interesting and the one that will impact our lives in the future. It is important to make sure that it is used properly and for the benefit of our profession. We, as accountants, should implement it in our practices and make sure that ethical and professional standards are not overlooked. We should limit a possibility of the AI replacing humans as this can lead to very deep and unpredictable results, impacting human lives and wellbeing. It needs to be considered carefully and should not become a danger or a replacement to us as human being.

This is a must do course. It has opened my mind and understating of what AI is and its benefits to me as an accountant. It also has potential al challenges that AI come with, such as staff resistance, data quality, alignment with the regulatory and legal frameworks and transparency of these AI models. Major accounting concerns being regulation, data protection, intellectual property, liability and accountability, codes of conduct, job displacement and getting real, as in addressing real-life problems faced by the profession. AI emerging trends include continuous learning and professional development, personalized professional assistant like copilot, enhanced creativity and innovation, blockchain integration to enhance transparency and efficiency in financial transactions such as cryptocurrency etc and quantum AI and human integration. Staying up to date is crucial for accountants and one of the ways to learn is to look out for latest news online.

Some of the reference material suggesting we would have he option to review and change the criteria of third party LLMs is well wide of the mark. All current LLMs take huge investment and the owners of the models will not alter their model due toi our input and actually are unlikely to share the full extent of the training material. These are multi-billion $ companies that we are placing reliance on. At some stage the scale of offerings may change and then some better control may be able to be exerted

Very thought provoking with some interesting insights and practical actions to take to develop an accounting career, at any level.
