Everything in this course is very important in the company that I work for. I am not an Auditor but I have learnt and understood the importance of giving the correct reports and things that may arise when doing accounting in any manner that is not aligned with the reporting standards. After this, I will be be able to do our Financial statements according to the auditor’s expectation and current Financial reporting standards, being able to read and explain the audited financial statements to the board of directors. And also, trying to avoid certain things from happening before audit begins. Understanding the whole importance of audit helps grow the business in a manner that will satisfy both owners and stakeholders.

The answer for Question 2 in the quiz is misleading and wrong. The answer provided is “Acceptable”, but the explanation is saying that reversal of goodwill is not permitted under IAS 36. This course is a careless/reckless work. The coursework itself is unprofessional.

Although I do not conduct audits I am the point of contact for the company’s annual audit. This helps me to understand how much supporting information I should maintain to justify estimates to auditors.
