This course explained the requirements of the new standard while referencing the various paragraphs that the content was taken from. It would have been nice to see some examples of how the new standard compares to IAS 1, but I acknowledge that because the standard is not yet implemented there may not be practical examples. The content creator did look at the financial statements of an energy organisation, a financial organisation and a electricity organisation and advised that in some areas additional work would be required by them to implement IFRS18, but it was still left to our imagination how these statements would actually change.
Farrukh Mehmood –
